Default Wireless Internet Charge on Freedom Of The Seas?

We will be sailing on the Freedom in September. We will be taking our laptop computer as we'll be staying in Miami a few days prior to sailing. Does anyone know if there is a charge for using their wireless internet service?

Yes.
Packages range from 33 cents per minute for the biggest package, to 50 cents per minute if you don't sign up for a package. The internet is SLOW, so don't plan to spend too much time on it, or it will cost ya!

Tracy,
Thanks for the info. Paying by the minute at a slow speed doesn't sound good to me. I guess we'll use the laptop for downloading our pictures off the memory card.
Thanks,
Beth

There are several plans you can choose for your wireless internet. We just got off Mariner and we used our laptop for wireless internet. The internet is not that slow but slower then DSL. There was a night where it was very slow and a trip down to Guest Services and they gave us a $20 credit just for the inconvience. With our Crown and Anchor coupons and the extra credit, we did not pay anything for any of our internet usage. Try the internet yourself and decide how much you wish to use.

Default Thanks Jewels

That's good to know about the credit for slow service. We have experience that as well, but never thought to ask for a credit.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I emailed RCL a couple of weeks ago and finally got a response:

Rental card (if needed): $10 per day or $50 per voyage.
Insurance =$2 per day.
Lost card =$250

Wireless access:
$.50 per minute or packages for:
$25/60 minutes; $35/90 minutes; $50/150 minutes.

At these rates, I guess we'll be using our laptop to clear out our camera memory cards.
