Default Best Night to Eat at Portofinos and Chops on FOS

Can anyone who has sailed on FOS recommend the best nights to skip the main dining room and eat at Portofinos and Chops?

I'd also be interested in a good night for Chops...

Thanks Fred.

Fred,

Can anyone who has sailed on FOS recommend the best nights to skip the main dining room and eat at Portofinos and Chops?

I'm not sure that there is a "best" night, but I can tell you the worst night. Don't skip out of the main dining rooms on "formal" evenings because that's when the main dining rooms really pull out all the stops with the best menus and the extra touches that they don't have on normal evenings.

Have a great cruise!

Norm.

We have been on 18 RCCL cruises and have been told that the first night is good at Potofinos because on some ships it is cheaper, but not on all ships.

I'm curious, how many seats are in that supper club as compared to other voyager class ships ?

Can your TA make your reservations at Chops before your cruise or do you have to wait until you are on board?

Both Portofinos and Chops seat 100 or so, and you cannot make a reservation before boarding.

Tuesday was a popular night for specialty dining, and many weren't crazy about the new "Surf Night" menu. I can't remember what night that was, though.

Default Chops or Portofino

Which is better? Love to know more about when to dine other than Main Dining. Also we are Cruising on Christmas will there be a special menu?
