Default Price List for RCI anywhere around???

I'm going on my second cruise ever, first on RCI, and had a question on prices. I know cruises do a lot of nickel and diming, which is completely fine, I just want to know if there's a relatively complete price list anywhere for RCI so I know how deep I'm getting myself in. Stuff like alternate restaurant cost, drinks, ice creams, stuff like that. I don't want to be rude and ask about everything on board but also don't want to be completely in the dark and get slammed with a huge bill. Any help please???

hi adam

If you go to a site like cruiseclues - look for your ship to see if anyone's posted menus, bar lists, spa menus, etc.

You can also do a search on this forum and cruisecritic for the above - also try searching for seapass total. I've seen some threads where people discuss how much and for what.

cruiseclues is also great for port info, daily planners and my favoite cruise web cams!

adam61,

I don't have a complete price list, but I will say that you can have a wonderful cruise without spending much. For example, I hardly ever eat in any alternative restaurants that have a surcharge -- and if you do eat dinner elsewhere, your regular waiter and assistant will be quite disappointed in your absence. Beverages are always available, free of charge in the buffet area, and you can get "soda stickers" to cap what you might spend on non-alcoholic beverages. There's also plenty to do that does not cost anything, so there's no need to go to the activities that cost money. I usually do purchase shore excursions in the ports of call, wine to have with dinner, and perhaps a few souvenirs in the ship's shops, but I sometimes have had to go to the casino on the last night, charge chips to my account, and play a few rounds of BlackJack to avoid forfeiting the balance of my shipboard credit even with those purchases.

Norm.

Adam, first of all - relax
I ditto all of Rev.'s comments. If you drink alcoholic beverages then plan for that according to what you paid on your first cruise. You didn't say who you cruised with the first time but the lines don't differ dramatically in additional costs. I don't think I've done any of the alternate restaurants on RCI other than Johnny Rockets - which for $5 is worth it for the milk shakes alone!

You've cruised before and unless you were in easycruises you know what to expect. RCI is a very nice line and I think you will enjoy them.

Default The abbreviated "price list"

Alcoholic beverages range from $3.50 to $10, depending on your taste in booze. Sodas purchased separately are about $1.50. A soda card runs about $40 pp for a 7 day cruise. Ben & Jerry's ice creams run $2-$4. The frozen custard stuff is free. Foo foo coffee at Seattle's Best run from $3-$5; plain coffee, decaf and iced tea is free. If your ship has a specialty restaurant, they run $20 pp for a glorious dining experience; the stuff in the dining room is very good and it's free. See previous note for Johnny Rockets prices. Don't forget tips - about $10 per day, per person. I'm sure we have overlooked something.

P.S. - Bingo is $30 for pot full of cards...we avoid Bingo like the plague.
