the rooms face the inside of the ship too? I wouldn't like that - as I keep my curtains open!

Only the PR category. They are called Promenade Cabins, as they over look the atrium over the interior promenade of the ship. Most reports indicate that people enjoy these cabins. I love balconies, myself, but am travelling solo in Dec, and thought I'd give it a try.

Thanks for the pics of it, Paul!!!! Enjoy your last day, everyone!!!!

Trip: The Promenade isn't too bad unless there is a parade or entertainment happening there, then it is very crowded with over 4000 onboard. The shops are your typical shops....there is a Fossils shop that carries handbags. For the Flowrider, you must sign a waiver every day before you can play. They have a session in the morning and in the afternoon (and an occassional late night session). The mornng sessions have been the best because there are only a few people doing it. There are many more in the afternoon. They put a partition down the center in the afternoon and have two people doing it at one time. The people who are doing the Flowrider really love it.

To answer the question about if there is a charge for the Flowrider...no, there is not. You just have to sign the waiver every day. There is a $3.95 cover charge for Johnny Rockets, but if you are a Crown and Anchor member, you will receive a discount booklet in your cabin on the first night. This booklet has a coupon for Johnny Rockets, so you don't have to pay the cover charge. You do have to pay for shakes and drinks in Johnny Rockets.

Mary Lou:

What are the aft balcony cabins like? Spacewise, view, shade, sun exposure and balcony size?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi everyone. It’s me again Lou Ann logging in for my second post ever.

Wanted to name the 5 things I like most about “Freedom of the Seas? this is my favorite ship of the ones I’ve been on so far. I happen to love “Pride of America? as well because I am very patriotic since I grew up as a west-coast kid and have for the first time visited Philadelphia and Washington in the last couple of years with my new hubby. But, anyway, why I like this ship . . .

1. It is the quietest, most stable ride. For someone who gets motion sick on swingsets, that’s HUGE.

2. It has been the easiest one for me to find my way around. You have the Royal Promenade for a landmark with memorable features -- my favorite is the Ben & Jerry cows. For on-ship navigation you have ship models with “you are here? in big red dots in every stairwell.

3. Even though it’s the biggest ship ever built to date, it has a smaller ship feel because you can stand on deck and see from one end to the other. All the mass is in its height.

4. Gotta love the specialty food shops along the Promenade – the coffee shop, pizza parlor, wine bar and champagne bar.

5. Did I mention all the shopping in one large, convenient, Vegas like strip!

All for now. Thanks for cruising with me. I am going to go ice-skating today, I love to skate, and what other cruise line could I do THAT on?

Lou Ann

BRIDGE TOUR PICTURES

http://cruisemates.com/gallery/view.php?id=3074

We just had a bridge tour - fascinating. Royal Caribbean really puts safety first, and I say that as someone who has been on 10 bridges.

Go to the photo gallery for the pictures, more details later!

Just returned home this evening. I was actually off the ship before 7AM, amazing. They actually started calling the express cruisers at 6..

Ship is so amazing, will follow up with a review and pics shortly.

Had a great time, loved the ship and expecially the entertainment including the ice show, caught one parade, etc.

More to follow.

We are back home too. We had a layover in Charlotte for almost three hours, but our flights were good. As Donna said, they began disembarkation at 6:30 a.m. for the express checkout. I couldn't believe how early it was. We were off by 9:30 or so and had a short trip to the Miami airport. Our security line was extremely short. I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye to Donna, Jeff, Paul Lou Ann, Debbie and Tom. We figured we would see everyone this morning, but it didn't happen that way. I hope you all had a safe flight home. Where did the week go? It was so much fun. My review will follow later this week. I can't wait to get back to the "real world" tomorrow (not).
