Default Has anyone been to Everglades Safari Park?

I'm wondering if anyone has been to Everglades Safari Park, not with the cruise line but on their own. How did you get there? Is there a bus that goes there? It looks like it's pretty far. I'm curious how much it would cost to get there from downtown Miami. We'd like to go the morning of our cruise at 9 a.m. and be back to go to the port around noon.

Thanks for the advice.

Hello there

We went to the Evergaldes from the Pritikin Clinic in Aventura with some other clients in a minibus which we arranged ourselves by ringing someone local who was advertising trips.. It was not that expensive. Most places where you stay or even on line could arrange this kind of half day tour for you. If not pop into a travel office. But do it, it is really good! The air boats are something else and one thing I was determined to do coming over from the UK. Which cruise are you going on?

Regards
Amanda.

I'm not sure if this is the same one, but is that the one along alligator alley into the Everglades?

We went to one, not much to do. Tram (think Disney style when you arrive at their parking lots) took us to this Tower where you saw a whole mess of gators sunning themselves. There were some trails you could take through the swamp, but...you are at ground level with the water. We didn't want to run into one because it was nesting season, so we didn't know if there would be any nests. And, if there were, they aren't posted either. Too dangerous.

It's good to go if you've never seen a gator before.
