Default Concierge Service on Radiance class

Has anyone sailed recently on the Serenade in a suite class and used the concierge service? We are looking forward to it, but aren/t sure what it entails....any suggestions or comments are appreciated!

The Concierge Lounge is very nice. They serve complimentary coffee, tea etc.

Danishes in the morning, complimentary drinks and snacks in the evening.

The concierge will make alternate restaurant reservations or help book excursions on request.

Default Concierge Lounge

We just got off the Jewel of the Seas. In addtion to what Kuki listed, we also had the Concierge get us priority debarkation tags, and she took our coupons for free internet use and credited our account (didn't need to go to the Guest Relations desk where no one seemed to know the time of day).

We used the lounge each day. A gratuity for the Concierge would be appropriate.

Hi Pd,

Did you have Andrea as your concierge?
As for gratuity, I consider it as an obligation!

Of course I know a tip is never an obligation.
It´s easy for you to say, living in the US. But for people over on this side of the pond I consider it an obligation, since no one -whether worth it or not- would never get a tip if you don´t say it´s an obligation.

I tipped my Concierge, Carlos, on the Enchantment a couple weeks ago. He arranged an excursion so we didn't have to wait in line at the desk, made us cocktails every night, got our coffee without having to go to Windjammer in the AM, we were on deck 8 three doors down which made it even better. Only drwback, in spite of the great view, a balcony would have been nice so we could smoke in there.

Did you TIP because you felt obligated to or did you TIP for service rendered and wanted to thank the person?

Yes, Andrea was our concierge. She was great! We actually did 12-night and 6-night back-to-back. On the 12-night, they also used the Hollywood Odyssey as a second Concierge Lounge. We had an outstanding bartender, Miehei Nicolaou, who memorized everyone's names and drink preferences. From the second night onward, I never heard him ask anyone what they wanted - he just asked if they wanted "the usual". He also got a very nice tip.

Andrea IS great! Although I have never sailed with her, she has done me lots of favors and I also had the pleasure of sharing lunch with her on one of JW´s calls to STO this summer. (Before I had an appointment with another charming lady, Louise Calder.)
I did not give Andrea a tip, but a silver necklace for services rendered.

Default Concierge Lounge

It's on deck 10, port side, just past the Centrum elevators.

Serenade should still have Maritza and she was GREAT! Definitely the place to go for answers because if she doesn't know, she will find out for you. We just got off the "Golden Princess" and boy did I miss having this lounge. It's a great perk BUT as we have mentioned on here before, it's getting away from them with too many "Diamond" members on many of the Radiance class ships. If that is the case when you go, they will keep the lounge on Deck Ten for suite guests and send "Diamonds" up to a lounge on Deck Thirteen during the 1700-2030 time frame (free drinks & hors d'ouvres). Enjoy!!!

Just got back from the Serenade of the Seas, and it was wonderful!!!! The ship, service and food were fantastic. The only letdown was that we were booked in a JS, and were unable to use the concierge club. The brochure states that it is available for anyone booked in a suite category on Radiance and Vision Class, but does not clarify that JS is not included. But, the JS was a great cabin and we had a wonderful steward, so we enjoyed everything just the same! Thanks for all the pre cruise advice!
