In St. Maarten, I purchased some 200 ml bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label for myself and some friends back home. When I got back to the ship, security let me take the bottles directly to my stateroom, while others who purchased larger bottles had to surrender their bottles to the ship's staff. But, get this....I saw room stewards delivering numerous cases of liquor to staterooms later that very same day! Official policy states the liquor will be stored and delivered at disembarkation! That's what I personally witnessed onboard. Your experiences may differ!
A tip: Liquor is dirt cheap in St. Maarten, even the high-end stuff! Buy the high-end labels there and buy the lower-end labels in St. Thomas or San Juan!

thanks Dave--by the way although we had to cancel our Dec Enchantment trip, we got a great deal on Jewel for late Jan so we are smiling again!
Interestingly, we just re-checked on the alcohol policy--they told us no wine or alcohol may be taken onto the ship..no exceptions This differs from your experience & also from Celeb which now says Celeb will permit 2 bottles of wine per person --seems to be a very fluid situation!
