Default Explorer out of New Jersey in December

We are going to be on the Explorer in December 2007. It goes out of New Jersey and I am concerned about the seas that time of year on the East Coast. Has anyone cruised from NJ to the Caribbean that time of year and if so, how were the seas? Thanks so much.

We are also doing a cruise in Dec. on the Explorer. I went out of Bayonne last Oct. lste in the season in a coastal storm with very rough seas and high winds and we were fine. You could feel it but the ship is so amazing you really do not have any time to worry about it if you should hit some rough seas in December. The crew and service is excellent. I would always take Bonine with me just in case!

We are doing the 12 night on Dec. 2. Really looking forward to that one! But I do expect it to be cold and windy when we depart although we could get lucky like this past winter! We an only hope! ! I would love to do the Christmas/New Year cruise but I could never take off from work than as so busy but I've heard the ship is decorated beautifully and eveyone has a wonderful time so you really do have a great cruise to look forward to!

thanks for getting back to me about the seas. We are doing the 12/23/07 cruise as well. We figure it will be cold the first day out and the last day back but otherwise it should be fine weatherwise, at least we hope so!

If the next winter is anything like this one, you might be able to wear shorts!

It was colder here in LV than NYC.

Yep, we just had 70 degrees here about 3 weeks ago. However, winter has kicked in & now we're getting the Artic air coming down. At least it'll be a short winter with spring coming around in March.

BUT...being here in CT where I am. We've yet to get any snow!! Woohoo!!
