Pool Water- Salt Water or Fresh Water?
Pool Water-Salt Water or Fresh Water?
We are planning a trip on the Mariner of the Seas. We have been told that the pool water has been "processed", therefore, the salt has been removed. Is the pool water on the Mariner salty, or is it more like fresh water? |
It´s "salt water" :!:
|
The water in the solarium pool is chemical treated water. The outdoor pools are sea water and changed daily.
|
Yes IS,
But it´s still water from the sea! |
That is true.
Should have said .... The water in the solarium pool is chemical treated salt water. Better? |

Pools are seawater ( Except on the Freedom that is fresh water ) and are dumped everynight on a rotating basis and refilled with new seawater and yes it's salty! :D

Salt Water or Fresh Water
Reminds me of that supposed question asked by a passenger:
Passenger: Is the water in the pool fresh water or salt water? Crew Member: It's salt water, ma'am. Passenger: Oh, that's why it's so rough..... |
Good one Pootersdad! LOL! :D

We were told when we booked that the pools were fresh water. We had our travel agent ask the lady from RCC that question. We had heard they were salty and that is just a turn off to me.
Is it really salty or is the water treated to lesson the salt factor. We are going on the mariner in dec. |
This is yukky but I have to say it. I stay out of the pools on the ship because kids and drunks have a way of relieving themselves in the pool. Wait until you get to port and enjoy the beach.
