We just got back from a cruise on Carnival Ecstasy and the only thing I was really disappointed in was that there was no smoke-free place to go dancing in the evenings! I don't know if it was just the ship we were on or if it's the whole cruise line, but we were on RC years[/i] ago and I don't remember it being a problem. Has anyone been on Voyager of the Seas and are there any areas that have smoke-free dancing?
Not trying to be a snob, I just get pretty bad headaches with second hand smoke.
Thanks for replies,

There are designated smoking areas on all RCCL ships and public areas except for 1/2 the pool deck and casino, port side decks, cabins, balconys, are non smoking such as all dining areas, internet cafe, library, etc. Some of the bars have a designated smoking area and I think the chamber does also where a lot of dancing goes on. As I sail the voyager class which is a huge ship it's not an issue as the spaces are so large. The Radience class ships seem to limit smoking areas the most but still do have smoking areas. There are some bands set up throughout the ship such as outside the casino where I noticed people dancing and as it was outside a bar, it was non smoking. You'll really have to explore the ship you choose to find the best location for you.
