Default Transfer from Ft Lauderdale to port

I am asking for my friend Could anyone tell me the best way to go from the airport to the port ? They are flying in the day of and will be at Ft Lauderdale at 11:45 am . Also could you tell me how far away it is from the airport!!!! Thank You Jody

Its about a 10 min ride to the port...i always use the RC transfers, but there are plenty of cabs there also...

which port? port everglades (FT. Lauderdale) or the Port of Miami.

If you are going to the Ft. Lauderdale port, its right next to the airport, very short cab ride and very easy to grab a cab.

How much are the transfers and how does she get them. I am going on Carnival but she is going on Royal so I told her I would find out for her . She is a first timer Thanks again

again, we need to know which port she is sailing out of. If she is sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale, then just grab a cab- you claim your bags, walk out the door and there are tons of cabs right there, terminal is about 10 minutes from the airport.
If she is sailing out of Miami then for one person it would probably be cheaper to take the shuttle from the airport to the pier. I think the cost is like $15.00 per/person one-way. You need to make a reservation and you may have to wait up to an hour for the van to be filled.
Cruise ship transfers- purchased directly from the cruise line. A rep will meet you in baggage claim and point you towards the bus.
