Default Radiance of the Seas

Looking at ROS for Mar 2008 and have a few questions.
Are robes inclubed in balcony cabins?
I looked in the rooms, couldnot tell if there is a room safe??
Am iI correct in assuming there would be two meal settings for dinner???

For you balcony folks, are there any that would not be preferable? How noisy are the elevators at night???

Is is possible to have connecting balconies?????
What kind of balcony furniture, the plastic carnival crap???????

In one review I noticed a $15 fee for something in the spa but I didn;t know what the service was, it was for a half hour????

Is soda card worthwhile, does it include bottled water. I am a diet coke freak and have to have at least three a day to survive and a medical condtiion requires that I drink several bottles of water a day.

thanks in advance for answering our questions!!!!!!!! 8)

I have not been on the Radiance, but have been on a Radiance class ship, the Brilliance (am booked on the Radiance in October)

You don't get robes in the rooms unless are a Crown and Anchor Platinum member. I guess if you have one of the grand or royal suites, you might get robes without being platimum members.

All rooms have a room safe.

There are two seatings for the dinner meal, open seating for lunch and breakfast. There is also the windjammer cafe which buffet syle and open as an alternative for all meals.

The best balconies are on the aft (back of the ship). They are much larger than the port or starboard balconies.

Our staterooms have never been near the elevators.

I don't think any balconies are connecting.

Our balcony furniture was not plastic crap on the Brilliance (sister ship to the Radiance) We had two chairs and a table.

The fees at the spa depend on what service you want done.

If you drink a lot of soda, the cards are worth while. It does not include bottled water, but you can ask for a glass of ice water at any bar and there is no charge. You can also get a glass of water at the windjammer cafe during the day. There is a fee for bottled water.

Robes are not included in cabins unless you are a Diamond member or above of the Crown and Anchor Society, although I believe you can pay extra to your room steward to get them, but not sure.

All rooms have a small room safe in them on RCCL ships.

There are 2 dinner seatings, main seating at 6pm and second seating at 8:30pm.

Elevator noise is not bad. The elevator shafts are in the center of the ship on the Radiance class, so the only real noise you have is people getting on and off the elevator, so it depends on how light or heavy a sleeper you are.

I know that RCCL has connecting cabins, but not sure about connecting the actual balconies, from the ships I've been on, I don't see any way you could connect the balconies with the solid partitions between them. The furniture is ok, not plush, just painted steel with plastic seats.

The soda card is $6 a day for an adult and $4 a day for a child. I don't believe it covers bottled water, and I know it doesn't cover the canned sodas or bottled water in the room fridge. If you drink 3 or more sodas a day, it probably will be worth it.

We have always been given robes, even on our first RCI cruise. Just ask your cabin steward.

Just back from Jan. 28 th sailing on ROS.

There is a small room safe, very easy to use. There was one
robe for (I believe) one platinum member in the cabin.

As previous posters said, there are 2 seatings for dinner, main
and late, which is preferable to me...give you more time to enjoy
the beautiful late afternoon.

We had a hump room with a larger triangular shaped balcony just
one room off the elevator corridor and we did not hear any noise.

Don't think you can have connecting balconies, but there are
connecting rooms.

Had a wonderful aroma therapy massage at the spa for alittle over $100.

Soda cards are certainly worth it, if you drink 3 per day.

Don't miss the Colony Club just aft of the Schooner Bar...very nice.

YOu'll love this ship.

I echo Lou-We were on the very same sailing on the Radiance. I believe you can get robes if you ask the cabin steward. Great layout on the ship, I think even better than some of the larger vessels. Ditto on the Schooner and Colony Club. Don't miss the Seaview Cafe if you want a snack some time.

Definitely just ask the cabin attendent for the robes. You will not have to pay extra to get them.
