Monarch of the Seas cabin choices

We have always had a GS on the Monarch with two adults and three kids. This time I booked two connecting cabins on deck 8. Will I miss the balcony? I didn't use it much with the four day cruise. Every day is a port day. But without it I am wondering if I will miss it. Any info would be great!
