Hi everyone! So I'm really curious to know if it is allowed for me to bring a few 20 oz sodas and botter bottles in my checked luggage on the ship. I am aware that many people store alcohol in water bottles so they may be searched but im not planning to bring alcohol...so will they take my liquids if the find them when my bag goes through security entering the boat? Any responses would be helpful!

You really shouldn't have a problem. I've seen people walk onboard with a 12 pack of soft drinks in their hand. The liquids prohibition was only applicable for the airlines, since a relatively small bomb made from liquid chemicals could conceivably take a plane out of the sky. If you filled your entire luggage with Captain Morgan's bottles full of nitroglycerine (no I'm not suggesting anyone try that), you still couldn't sink a cruise ship.
So, really, if you're not bringing alcohol on board, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. If you are bringing alcohol on board, you still probably don't have much to worry about. Lots and lots of people do it every single time they cruise. They're not supposed to but they do, believe me.

Everyone is right, you should not have problems. I have a collapsible rolling cooler that I bring in my suitcase and fill with pop, beer and water when I get to my hotel the night before a cruise. Just roll it on board with the rest of my carry-on stuff.

What port are you traveling from? I left out of San Juan and bought a six pack of Coke from the liquor store and brought it on board. They looked to make sure that it wasn't beer--no problem. The price was $2.99.

ssantow, Can you give any more information on the "collapsible rolling cooler" like where you bougt it and how big it is??
Just did it, including booze, no problem, there or back. Be discreet, pack carefully, and pay room attendant handsomely WHEN you meet them. I just completed my 11th RCI cruise on AOS. Any questions ?
We had a few beers and small wine bottles left from the night before our cruise last month. My husband was sooooo scared they would take it from us, he said just leave it. I packed it with my shoes and no one said a word.
You can lock your luggage going on the ship. If they see something on the xray, they will call you to come and unlock the case.
I saw the xray on Cruise Do's and Don'ts the other night. It really exposes what is in the case! I am sure they see a few bottles or cans they won't get all upset. We didn't have very much and we sure spent plenty on the ship.
Enjoy!
will rci let me bring bottled water-like 20 or so liters in plastic bottles on board in my luggage?
Yes
