Default Gentleman's attire for Chops

19 days until we sail on the Freedom of the Seas and i was wondering what the expected dress code is for Chops on non-formal nights.

A sport jacket is always appropriate attire for Chops. A tie is not required.

Take care,
Mike

I would think that it would be the "dress of the day".

I discussed this with a crew member working at "Chops" and their main concern is to avoid T-shirt and shorts. Even on formal night they were OK with "resort casual" (collared shirt and khaki's etc.). "RCI" evening wear is the recommended or "suggested" attire but the passengers on our last Hawaii run made it clear as to why they have to have guidelines!

so if my husband wears a short-sleeve button-up dress shirt with dress pants and a tie...we're good? i would really like to avoid having to pack a suit jacket if possible.

Chops has become a bit more "casual" since this thread was originally posted. Your husband would be fine with what you posted. The short sleeve dress shirt and dress pants would be fine. The tie is not required. I usually bring a sport jacket on a cruise.

Take care,
Mike

We did Chops on the Enchantment last year. I wore a collared shirt and slacks, (non-formal night). I asked the dining manager before I went in if my dress was sufficient. He stated that it most certainly was.

While my DW & I were dining, we observed folks coming in wearing jeans. I personally wouldn't do that, but to each his own. Happy cruising everyone!
