Never done Royal caribbean, so should be a great time. Thanks for all your help in choosing. Now the waiting game begins. My dad is soooo excited. This will be his and my sister's first cruise. He really wants to see some good pictures of the majesty of the seas. The gallery has just a few. Any suggestions?

Majesty of the Seas was one of my first cruises, and that was back in 1995. I find Royal Caribbean to be my favorite cruise line. This October my husband and I will be trying Princess cruiseline for the first time and we are very excited. I have alot of pictures from the Majesty, however it was so long ago that I didn't have a digital camera, so I have know way to show these photos to you because they sit in my photo album. If you decide to do another Royal Caribbean cruise, you must try Adeventure of the Seas, we sailed on that Ship in October 2006, and that ship has everything to offer, it's a MUST SEE!!! Enjoy your cruise, you will love the Majesty.
Majesty was our first cruise as well. We went in 2003 and of course she know has a new look. We really enjoyed this ship and I am looking at her again for a family reunion.

good choice: Majesty was the first RC ship I went on. it was beautiful then, but supposedly more so now.
I am sure you and your family will have a blast and I would be curious to see the photos of the updated ship.

We were just on the Majesty two weeks ago, and she is gorgeous. We had a great time. My Mom loved it.

Thanks louise! Alot of great photos. My dad is visiting me now for a few days and we just looked at them together ooohing and aaaaaing over them all, especially the cream puff and the barbeque! Looks like a fun time, we are excited. Gonna start looking at excursions with him now...any suggestions for those same islands?

Hi
I'm glad you like the pictures
We did not book any excursions with RCCL, and waited until we reached the ports.
For the Bahamas we did a van tour around the island which was pretty good. Once we got off the ship in Nassau, we walked down the pier to the shopping area and at that point you are aggressively approached by different drivers for your business. We hired a great guy name Mr. Louis. I will email you the van number when I get home. He generally waits until his van is full, and we had a nice group of people. We did not care for Nassau very much, but he gave us a good tour, with a 25 minute stop at the Atlantis, which is a beautiful hotel.
CoCoCay is a private island owned by RCCL, and I absolutely love this island, I can't wait to return someday.
Key West is another great port. Its a really cool town with a tropical ambience. Duvall street is very popular as well as Mallory square. I would highly recommend the trolley tour for your Dad. My Mom thought it was a nice way to see the town with the option to hop on and off all day. We did get off at stop #8 (there are 10 stops total) and we had a light lunch and did a little shopping at the trolley stop store. You can purchase your tickets for this off the ship in Mallory square. Mallory square is a short walk from the cruise pier.
If you have any more questions, please feel free to me email me!
You guys will have a great time, and will adore this ship.
It's nice to hear so many good things about Majesty..
WOW, dreadlock!
You have been on many many cruises!!! Thats great!!
Is that the only way you travel, or do you like resort/hotel vacations too???
I plan to do many more cruises too!!! I had lost the cruise bug a few years ago, but its all back now, after sailing on the Majesty!! she is a fantastic ship!!
