Default For Dave and other Mariner of the Seas cruisers

My girlfriend just returned from her cruise on the MOS. After a bomb scare before they were allowed to board, she said the cruise was wonderful. I guess there was a lone piece of luggage left on the ship. It was making a mysterious noise so the bomb squad was called in. Turned out it was not a bomb but a child's toy.

She hasn't brought in her pictures yet since she just returned on Sunday but she stated that the ship is beautiful. It was also very clean and they were happy with their decision to cruise on this ship. Her two boys, ages 11 & 13, loved the kids activities. She loved that she hardly saw her kids. The only downside was the waters were rough around Coco Cay so they were not able to get close enough to tender in. They ended up missing this stop. Can't wait to see her photos.

Thanks for the info Cheryl. With less than 4 weeks to go, I am getting pretty excited about this cruise. May be the best one yet!

We are going on Mariner in July. You mentioned her children had a great time. My daughter who is 13 will be joining us. Could you provide additional information concerning the kids activities. Any recommendations or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Laura

My girlfriend did not put her kids in the ship's kid programs. She said they had enough to do on the ship itself. They did the rock climbing wall, ice skating, game room, pool, etc. She had brought walkie talkies on the ship so she could keep contact with them. The kids would leave her after breakfast and would have to be back at 5:00 pm for dinner. She said they basically were on their own.

As always Dave, I'm looking forward to the pictures.

Sure wish I was going with you. But I am heading to Tampa on May 4th until May 9th. Guess that will have to do for now.

I will have a whole week this time to take pictures. SO I will get many of the ship itself but also of all the festivities and my cruise mates.
