Being that in the past we have always drove to our ports I would like to know.....
Do we just take a taxi or is there a shuttle service offered from the airport to the ship? what is the cheapest way to go per person (there are 3 of us). Thanks!

Do you have transfers with your documents? If not, I would take a shuttle from the airport to the pier. I think taking a taxi would be a little more costly, but than again you can always find out for sure when you arrive in Miami by asking them their fares. Good Luck and Happy Cruising!
Last time we went out of Miami - we were told the cabbies have a standard rate to the pier that they have to charge you. That prevents an crazy bill if they get stuck in traffic at the port (and he did). You may need a shuttle due to your luggage.

The standard flat rate is $24 and is for the Pier-to-the-Airport trip only. For the Airport-to-the-Pier trip, it was $26 for the cab ride for 2 persons and baggage.

If we dont have transfers...and if we did a shuttle, how much is that? Are they marked "Pier shuttle"? Do we have to pre arrange them? Is there a certain spot to find the shuttle?
RCCL transfers cost more then taking the cab yourself. My travel agent made an oops and forget to purchase the transfers for us however I'm glad she made the mistake because the cab was cheaper. We were four in the cab (SUV) with 3 large suitcases for $24. airport to ship.

I actually think the transfers are more expensive, remember the taxi cost is for everyone, not per person, like the transfers will be. You should all be able to get to the airport for around 25-30 plus a tip, I bet the transfers are 20-25 per person.

We took a cab, and worked out great! $24 roundtrip per person! The ride was not long at all, and there was minimal traffic.
