I am cruising on The Jewel of the Seas at the end of June to the Baltics and only want to take pound sterling and euros with me for quick drinks on land and for souveniers. Will these currencies by suitable or will I have to take various different currencies with me as the euro is not the standard currency for these countries? Also what climate temperature can I expect. Most importantly how do I stand sneaking in my case a couple of bottles of wine?
Hi Daisy,
This is the best time to go,days are longer climate is beautiful unless Mother Nature is not on our side.About your currency you can have some exchange on the ship, the rate is a bit high but you can get money at a
ATM at the port. Happy cruising, Mateli
I would think they will take Euros just about anywhere. They used to take dollars (probably still do) throughout Russia, etc. But now with the Euro so strong ubiquitious I would think no problem there. If there is a problem, there are always ATMs. Or credit cards for bigger purchases.
