Salon question

Hi..we are taking our family cruising this Christmas on the Navigator of the Seas. We are all first timers and very excited. My question is for my Mom who is semi obsessed with her hair..hee hee..She is concerned about getting it wet while snorkeling and then looking like a drowned rat at dinner. When does one make appointments with the Salon (before we board or once we board) and does anyone know what they charge for wash, curl & dry...Also, with the ship being so large will it be difficult to get an appoinment?
I want her to experience as much as possible & not worry about the darned hairdo...

Tell her to go to the Salon as soon as you board and make the appointments. Cost should be in the $40 range plus tip
