Enchantment 12/29-1/3 questions

My BF and I are considering taking our first RCI cruise (we've cruised Carnival twice) over NYE. We have a few questions:
1. We know people like to party on Carnival, is it the same on RCI?
2. Do they do anything fun on NYE?
3. We'd most likely get an inside room to save some $$, are they extremely smaller in comparison to Carnival's? We are not small people, both of us over 6ft =) Would it be worth the extra$$ to get a bigger room?

And I've heard Costa Maya is the worst port of call, true?
