Default Question about Parking in PC

Hello this is my first post. I went on the Soverign of the Seas last year and the parking was around $50.00. We are going on the Mariner on the 23rd of September and was wondering if anyone knew what the parking charge was for the 7 day cruise? I was also wondering about how much about was the tipping for the whole trip? There will be 2 of us going. I have been on this site for a few and usually just read so I am finally diving on in

Parking Fees

Parking fee is $12.00 per day for vehicles up to 20 feet in length and $20.00 (???) per day for vehicles over 20 feet. The total amount for the time the vehicle is to be parked must be paid in full upon entering the parking area. Visa, MasterCard, Traveler's Checks issued in U.S. dollars and cash are accepted. All fees stated above are subject to change without notice by Canaveral Port Authority.

Parking Information

• Parking at Port Canaveral's Cruise Terminals is paved, gated, and under 24-hour surveillance. Limited free parking is available in Daytime Only parking lots at each Cruise Terminal for persons having business at the Terminal or aboard the Cruise Ship only during the hours the ship is docked at the Terminal. No overnight parking is permitted in Daytime Only parking lots without permission from Canaveral Port Authority.

TIPS

You will be charged $10/day/p. So that is $140 for the cruise. Bar folks get 15% added automatically to each order. You can tip more if you want to a person who did "extra" for you.

Fixed!

It is a cruise line policy that applies to all ships. The older ships are the same as the new ships.

I know it is the policy, I just was reading that the tipping was more on this cruise than my last one and wanted to get an idea of how much it would be around.

It is $9.75 PD PP. That is suggested amount which can be added to your bill or paid in cash. I gave extra cash to my cabin steward, the Concierge and the bartenders at the pool. The dining room waiters got the suggested amount, they were good but we changed tables twice and ate in there only 5 nights.

Another option:
Depending on your schedule and where you are driving from, you can consider staying at a PC hotel the night before you leave -- many of them have free parking for the duration of your cruise. And they have shuttle service to your ship from the hotel (sometimes the shuttle is free, sometimes it is about $3 per person per trip). Shuttle will also bring you back to the hotel after the cruise.

The cost of parking at the pier might pay for your room.

We do it most of the time.

Default Park and Tip

My husband and i are sailing on the Mariner on 9/9 - 25th anniversary.

Tipping $150.00 Can be placed on your credit card, if you like.

Parking $12.00 a day for each day - Figure on about $100.00

Parking is prepaid when you arrive. GET THERE EARLY AS THE COVERED SPACES IN THE GARAGE FILL UP QUICKLY.

First drop off your luggage and then return to the parking area.

GET THERE EARLY - No later than 11:30AM GET THERE EARLY!

Happy sailing.

Diane
