There are four whirlpool spas (fresh water) and two pools, one full-size and freshwater and one indoor pool with salt water.

I believe that only Freedom has fresh water in its pools. I don't mind the salt water at all. It was just a shock the first time I went on a cruise to find the pools filled w/ saltwater!

Is it all Freedom class ships that have Fresh Water? or just Freedom of the Seas? We are sailing on Liberty of the Seas in Aug and my kids would love to have fresh water to swim in.

When at sea you should swim in seawater. That is the tradition. However, saltwater or freshwater, it really dones't matter if you are cruising with this guy!

Some people do not like the feel of salt water.. then there are my kids that actually turn red from the salt water and it makes it burn when they.... well you know what I am saying. So freshwater does make a difference when it comes to the comfort of my kids.

We dont cruise often, but loved the experience last year (aside from the horrible saltwater).. and hope to avoid it this year. My kids are like fish and with everything the Mariner had to offer.. they ONLY wanted to swim. So they swam in the hottubs.

My kids love the pools too. That is why I buy them Speedo brand goggles for the pool!

Default Salt Water or Fresh?

I'm reminded of what a passenger supposedly said to a crew member:

Passenger: Is the water in the pool salt water or fresh water?

Crew Member: It's salt water, ma'am.

Passenger: Oh, that's why it's so rough.......

So I am guessing that no one really knows the answer to this - Does the Liberty have fresh water pools or is it salt water?

(And its not their eyes that burn. Goggles wont help this issue. )

One of the posts stated above mentioned Fresh Water on all Freedom class ships. So Liberty has Fresh Water.

I bet you're wondering how I know.

Take care,

OFF THE HOOK DAVE OFF THE HOOK.

Weird thing is you can only flush it if you close the lid. SO you never really get to see where the water comes from.
that was a good one lol lol

Most days I love the seawater. I can pretend to be a really good swimmer with that extra buoyancy. But if I wake up feeling SLUGish......
