On my June 10 cruise on Freedom, it was sort of a last minute decision. We had free airline tickets on Southwest so I had picked Fort Lauderdale on June 10, and saw the Freedom had a sailing scheduled for that date from Miami. I had been on that exact itinerary on the Adventure Of The Seas a couple of years ago, and just this Jan on the Radiance, Key West subbed for Labadee and it was Montego Bay rather than Ocho Rios. This cruise for for the ship alone because I was curious about the newest monster class liner. I then played cabin cost chicken and almost lost out. After all cabins disappeared I was ready to switch to the Mariner out of PC. However - one last check and voila ! the cabins were available again at a new lower price (for that day only). I grabbed one which was a guaranteed cabin on the lowest deck and hoped for the best. The upgrade fairy visited again and we were booked into a cabin on the top deck (#10) and it was obviously one for passengers with handicaps because it was huge ! It had the biggest bathroom I have ever seen on a ship, even in suites. The bedroom had two couches and more room. One thing about an interior room - there is no sense of time because the daylight has no entry into your cabin. So after the embarkation snafu because of the SeaPass photo glitch, we set out for the Western Caribbean on the biggest ship afloat.
