My DW and myself are doing a B2B on Mariner in Jan 08.
Do we have to leave the ship on the Sunday , stay on board
or take a shore excursion? This is our first B2B , someone we meet
on an earlier cruise had to vacate the ship for a few hours.
If a tour what do people recommend , we did NASA in 06 and planning
to visit after the cruise.
Any comments would be appriewciated
Planning going on Mariner it is relocated to the West Coast.

As far as I understand, you do have to leave the ship for a couple of hours or so. Your luggage stays on board however.

The only B2B we did, they had a set time for us to go down to "Guest Relations." A representative walked us off the ship, down to the regular pier check-in. We had our new "SeaPass" cards and back on ship w/in 20 minutes.
On our last back-to-back, there were about a dozen of us "back-to-backers". We all met in the Schooner Bar while all the other passengers were getting off the ship. After everyone was gone, a staff member from Guest Relations gave us our new SeaPass cards, escorted us off the ship, through immigration, then back on to the ship. For about an hour, we had the run of the ship. We couldn't go back to our cabin until 1:00 - but it was really easy to find a lounge chair by the pool......
