Hey all...
I am taking a cruise this july on the soverign of the seas.. .I have a few questions.
1. Does this ship offer something to do with GOlf on it?
2. How are the pools, are there alot of activites?
3. Is there a formal night and how hard is it to get into the spa for updo?
4. How is the casinos? And enteritment?
5. finally is the ship nice? are there alot of younger people that cruise on this?
ONE more important questions for the ladies... In the hot humidity My hair goes crazy.. What do you suggest to keep hair tammed?

Just came from a cruise in June on the SOS:
1. I do not think there is any golfing activities unless I overlooked it;
2. Pools were crowded and salt watery. I just tanned, no water for me;
3. Yes. Our formal night was tuesday after our CocoCay outing;
4. I just used the casino as a go through to other entertainment, not a gambler; Entertainment is great, do not miss the Quest game, HILARIOUS!!
5. This is a nice ship. I am sure there are better ones, but I loved it. A few unruly smells, but nothing that should ruin your cruise. This ship had a good mix of all age brackets. We had a few drunkards wanting attention, but you'll find that anywhere pretty much.
Great cruise, lots of fun!! I had a great time because I didnt make a big deal of the small stuff.
It is difficult to remember all your questions, but here goes...
I sailed on SOS just last October...
Yes, there is a formal night...Unfortunately, unless they changed the timing it is on the same night as Coco Cay. If you have main seating, I suggest getting there at least an hour early...the lines for pictures are long.
No, Golf on board.
Casino, - it fun but I would just write the ship a check for the amount that you are going to lose. The last night of the cruise is best to play the slots.
I have grown children, so I am not familiar with children's activities.
In general, SOS is a really nice ship. Also, if you do like to gamble,
when you get into Nassau, head for the Crystal Bay hotel and casino -
NOT THE ATLANTIS. It is about 15 - 20 minues away by taxi and will cost about $10.00 each way. Very nice taxi drivers.
Anyway, if you get there about 9 am, there is a 25cent Wheel of Fortune Machine that always seems to hit at the same time every day. It is on the right side of the casino about 1/2 way back near the Starbucks stand.
