Default Ever booked via Cruise Web???

Has anyone booked a Cruise using Cruse Web based out of DC? I found them on the web and called-they were extremely helpful w/ideas for us (first timers going w/young kids). But don't want to book and find out it was a scam or something!! yikes
Are there ways to check on this? BBB? Any other? THANKS!
Carla

CJ:

I haven't heard of the company but from what you say they are probably legit'....I've always been a bit more comfortable booking cruises, or just about any other vacation for that matter with a travel agent. It's nice to have someone locally you can turn to if their is a problem or question before you take your trip. If you are just booking an airline ticket, the web is ok...But an entire vacation package I'd book in person.

Royal Carribean all but says on their web site to use a travel agent to book. Carnival looks a bit more open about booking online. Hope this helps

Thanks! I think Cruse Web is actually an 'agency' as I have contact name/numbers/address/fax/web ect. However, still a bit scared. I contacted the BBB and waiting reply and hope to find others who may have used them as referral. They specialize via the web for cruises--I guess.
Maybe I could contact Royal Carribean and ask if they have heard of them---?? I don't plan on booking via the web, as I am able to do all that through phone correspondes with a Cruise Web rep---an actual peron/travel agent.
Anyway, THANKS so much for the input. I'm so excited for our first cruise and family vacation-I just want everything to be perfect and not a statistic on a scam or something...
Carla =)

Default Best wishes...

You'll have a great time. You're right, calling R'Carribean would probably be a good idea. Just remember most of the stuff we worry about when tavelling never amounts to anything.

I agree...go with a local travel agent
The price will be the same and they do the work for you
plus they can make suggestions you may not think of
We live in a small town in Ohio and use a guy right in town
plus it helps the local guy make a few bucks which in turn keeps money in your community
