Default Just back from Baltics - Can I help. Shuttle buses, currency

We've just got back from the Baltics (Estonia, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Germany and Denmark) on the Jewel of the Seas. If this is a cruise that you have booked for then I will be only too happy to assist with any queries - for instance, shuttle buses (not required at all ports and are chargeable), currency conversion (ignore what you are told on the ship as the countries are flexible), what each country is like, how expensive each country is and the soveneirs they offer, tipping on ship, food on ship, etc etc.

Default Happy to know anything about Baltics

We are sailing to Scandinavia and the Baltics on NOS 28/8/07.

Stopping at Copenhagen, Talin, Gdansk, Denmark, and Oslo. Which is the most widely accepted currency.

I am in a wheelchair and was wondering about excursions, I know its no use booking the organised trips because I wont be able to get on the coach, but I can manage taxis, is it worth it.

Thanks for posting this thread, I havnt seen many people who bother with regards to northern Europe. Basicaly I want to know everything.

Default all advice/insights/costing info please.....

Hi we are booked on the Jewel of the Seas Scandinavia and Russia cruise 15th August 2008 for our honeymoon. We are young and not loaded! (a teacher and a trainee accountant). Our ports are Tallin, Helsinki, Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen and St Petersburg. What are costs like on board? Entertainment and activities? RCI trips? What currency should we take? Does the ship only accept credit cards or will it take debit cards too? We are first timers and totally clueless. All feedback welcomed. Thanks...
