Default Alert! -EXplorer Cruises are NOT going to NEWPORT

If anyone has a 2007 cruise to NE/Canada scheduled on the Explorer of the Seas, you should know that last Monday RCCL dropped Newport and will be docking in New London CT instead. This has been confirmed on another message board site and RCCL has also confirmed that the computer data base will be revised "in the next several days", so calling RCCL or your travel agent will still show Newport as a port stop.

New London has a Submarine and is not far from Mystic. But that's it. Newport is an hour away but there is no public transportation!

A lot of passengers are quite upset as Newport was a major stop. This all occuredc per a newspaper article because New London paid RCCL to stop there this year. If they decided to do this next year it would be okay but RCCL chose to do this after all final payments have been received.

So I'm alerting anyone booked who has not learned of this change.
