Balcony rooms and drifting cigg smoke - is it bad?
I don't do well with cigarette smoke - I get an insta-headache. Someone was telling me that I will be miserable on the cruise because of all the cigarette smoke that will drift in from the window/balcony when open, or when out there, & that other areas of the ship that are supposed to be smoke-free will have folks smoking away because the rules are not enforced.
Is this true? We're looking forward to our first cruise adventure and this commentary has dulled our excitement somewhat. :o(
I don't think you will have problems with smoke. Just stay away from the few areas on the ship they do allow smoking, casino, some lounges, but again, its only certain sections. I've never had a problem with smoke coming in through the balcony. Its usually very breezy when you are cruising.
On RCI ships the no smoking rules are enforced. Smoking is only allowed in certain areas, like the casino and some lounges. I also believe they allow smoking on one side of the pool deck, it is clearly marked. I've almost always had a balcony on my cruise and I've never had a problem with cigar or cigerette smoke wafting onto my balcony.
