Mopeds in Bermuda

Anyone don't this? What company did you rent from or through the cruiseline? How safe is it?

Personally i wouldn't rent a moped, unfortunately you can always tell the tourists from their bruises and scrapes. I much prefer the transit system in Bermuda its safe, clean, convenient and cheap.

Oleander Rentals, about $132 for a double for two days. We had a blast, came and went as we pleased, no time wasted waiting for transit. Highly recommend the double as you'll have two sets of eyes. You can practice before you go out on the "real" roads. We had no problems.

To each his (or her) own. I would not recommend it. I learned my lesson years ago renting a motorcycle in Barbados.

jjml - just wondering if you're from the States. If so, here are a few things to consider before renting a moped...

Unlike here in the US, Bermudians drive on the left side of the road, which can be a bit confusing if you're not used to it. They also have round-abouts and narrow roads that wind through the hills - when you see a bus coming at you, you have to hug the wall

(so to speak).

Personally, I would stick with public transportation or a private driver.
