Default Just booked my first cruise!!

Hello everyone!

My boyfriend and I just booked our first cruise!! We are leaving Dec 17th out of Fort Lauderdale on the Navigator of the Seas for a 5 day Western Caribbean cruise. Ports are Cozumel and Belize City. Oh yea, we have a balcony room. Woo hoo!

We'll be flying down the day before. We both work for an airline and know how air travel can be...no missing the boat!

I have about 500 questions...I'll start with just a couple:

We booked online directly through Royal's website. If I find it cheaper, either on their website or elsewhere, can I call them and get that cheaper price?

I am slightly addicted to Diet coke. Are the soda cards worth it? can we share? Or would I be better off just bringing some in the luggage?

Has anyone done the Horseback Riding Adventure in Cozumel? Is it fun and worth it?

I've read about, well, basically adult beverage cards, where you can pay about $45 in advance and get 12 cocktails with it? Is this a real thing?

skating rink/mini golf course...is there a fee for either of these? What about the rock climbing wall?

One last thing, and then I'm done....for now.

We found a hotel for the day before with shuttle service to/from airport and Port Everglades. I forgot about getting back to the airport when the cruise is over! Can we just catch a taxi? Flight isn't until 7 p.m.

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Royal Caribbean does sell Coke products, so getting the soda card would be a good idea, but you can also pack some in your luggage.

The rock climbing wall, ice skating and mini golf are free.

Taking a taxi to the airport would be super expensive and since you have such a late flight, I'd look into doing a post excursion where they drop you at the airport when its over. Its about a 45 minute ride to the airport from the pier.

Congrats on your first cruise.....you are going to love it! Donna has very good advice! As far as the pricing question goes, keep checking RCCL's site to see if the pricing goes down. You may or may not be able to get an adjustment if you see it does go down. You should never see different prices among different travel sites. RCCL doesn't allow travel agents to discount their cruises. You should see the same prices on all of the various sites.
