Default CHRISTMAS CRUISE

This will be our fifth cruise, but will be the first time spending Christmas day on the Seas as we usually cruise in January. Has anyone cruised on the Adventure of the Seas at Christmas time and how was it? What kind of activities etc., were available on Dec. 25th?

We will be on the Explorer of the Seas for a Xmas/NY cruise. What I have read is that there are decorations, a midnight Mass (not sure about other services), and that will our first formal night. There should be a Santa for the kids with some token gifts. I also heard that the menu that night is the standard one.

I have not read much more than that.

This time we will have our kids and their kids with us. Our daughter and son are both going to university and that is the only time they have time off to go. So ........... we will have our daughter and her boyfriend; our son, his wife and children of 15 months and a two week old. We planned and paid for this trip before our daughter in law got pregnant so it should be interesting with the two kids I hope the children's program on this ship is good. Obviously, the two week old will be the Mom and Dad.

I would check into the children's program and whats available. I do not believe RCCL allows children in the program until they are 3. I know they have child care available for those over a year though.

Thanks for that info - I will check it out. This is our first cruise with little ones, so it should be interesting. I think there is a family message board which I will check out. Any other helpful info will be greatly appreciated.
