Default Question on slot machines

Our casinos in CT no longer use coins in their slot machines. They take bills and when you redeem your winnings it is in the form of a paper voucher. I would like to know if they are still using coins on the Liberty OTS slot machines??????

I don't know about Liberty, but in Freedom the machine takes bills and redeem your winnings in a voucher also.

Alot of places are going to paper now including the cruise ships. It's alot better & cuts back on overhead.

I know when we went on Sovereign this past July it was paper, although a few did give coins.

Personally, I prefer paper. When you deal with hundreds of passengers on a ship & some of them don't wash their hands - you really want to touch their coins?

Cassandra:
I certainly agree with you that paper is much better for a variety of reasons. That is why I asked the question about the slots on the Liberty OTS. Our last cruise was on the Celebrity Mercury and it was a wonderful cruise. We got great service, delicious food. loved the entertainment, and met the finest senior officers that we have encountered on any cruise. The only thing I did not like was having to handle the dirty coins from the slots. I hope that all cruise ships will start to use paper soon.

According to Casino Royale Club Liberty has paper in, paper out on all of their slots. Also, Freedom, Independence, Jewel, and 2 or 3 others. I wish they'd get with it and make them all coin free - it's so much easier and so much cleaner.

According to that Casino Royale Club recording, the Explorer is not one that's listed for having paper in, paper out - we're going on the Explorer 2/22 for 12 days and I hope they do by then but if it's not there yet, it probably won't be until the economy gets better. I think you put your sea pass in all the slots that have paper in - paper out -- to keep tracks of points like at most casinos.

The slots onboard the Vision of the seas take both bills and coins.

The Freedom of the Seas uses paper and you can you your sea pass in the slot machine to gets points (Like Las Vegas).

Just off the Serenade and they only pay out coins. I asked why because it could take several minutes if they needed to add more coins, and the Slot Mgr. said on that ship many people still liked to see coins drop if they won. Personally, I would prefer paper payouts...cleaner, and faster.
