We are new to RCI and have read that you have to sign out towels at the pool. We have cruised on Carnival prior to this and you get pool towels in your room. Are there towels available for going to the beach or should we pack our own?
Your room steward will leave pool/beach towels in your room and replace the used ones each evening. If you would like to get a clean towel while at the pool, there is a towel exchange located on the pool deck. If you lose/misplace yours, the towels used in the steam/sauna area are there for the taking.
Your room attendant will tell you however that if a pool towel is missing in your room, you will be charged. If you go to the pool w/o one, you can ask at the towel exchange and you will be given how many you want but you will be asked your room no. and if you don't return to them the towels you will be charged.

I have read that they will charge you 10 or 20 bucks for a missing beach towel, however, we lost one on an excursion in GC and they didn't charge us. Boy, I was so mad when I noticed the towel had been taken from my seat on a boat to StingRay City
What about the towels left on the chairs by the pool? I am sure alot of those get thrown overboard with a book or two
I wouldn't pack any though, you will need more room for all the "CUTE" cruise clothes you will no doubt bring
