Default CocoCay activities

Cruising on Sovereign in January. I'm trying to decided on shore activities on CocoCay. Anyone know when the shore lunch barbeque is served so that I can schedule activities?

Hi Maduck,
The BBQ lunch will be going shortly after you get to Coco Cay and go as long as they have food left, but plan on around noon. They will have a few different places where they serve it, really a great BBQ on a lovely beach.

You picked a great ship with an outstanding crew. Just sailed it a couple months ago. You'll especially enjoy Casey your cruise director.

As for Coco it really just depends what you are interested in. We didn't do an excursion and still had a good time just walking around. It hink next time I would try the parasailing. The people who at the barbque said it was good but it happened to be VERY hot the day we were there and we just didn't have an appetite for it.

It was a little different than I thought. There are alot of places there to go in and have a drink. But alot of those places were kind of dead to be honest. It really wasn't that much of a party atmosphere but I'm sure that changes depending on the time of year and how many 20 somethings are on board. Overall, we liked Coco ok but were ready to go back to the ship after a couple hours.

Default CocoCay

Thanks for the replies. I've been to CocoCay on two other cruises, but couldn't remember lunch times. Am traveling with three "newbies";we've scheduled a Kayak tour and didn't want them to go hungy!

Thanks again for the help!

We did the Wave Runner and boy was it fun! We did the 12:30 tour and when we got back around 1:30 or so, they were putting everything away. We were sooooo hungry! We should have eaten before the tour. We did grab a hotdog that was a little stale. I hope this helps.

Thanks Annie for the info. Sorry you missed lunch. Hubby and I did the Waverunner also a couple of years ago and had a blast too! My sailing companions on this cruise are better suited to the Kayaks or else I'd be on the waverunners again. We've scheduled our tour for mid-afternoon.

Cococay is great. Yes, lunch starts at noon but will go on for a while. Don't worry you won't go hungry and if yo miss it get onboard and go to the Windjammer.

You can just relax in a lounge near the water with some Coco Loco's but if you feel you have to do something, do the Waverunner tour. Great!!!

If you see this lady, tell her I said HI!
