Default Vision of the Seas November 11 Sailing

My husband and i are cruising, first time, on VOS on November 11th to Mexico. Anyone else on that sailing?

I have read mixed reviews about VOS, everything from being spotless to being dirty and worn, and food being wonderful to below par - any personal experience on this?

I am interested in eating healthfully, taking advantage of spa, yoga and walking on board, any advice on this best strategies for booking and doing these activities?

My husband is looking forward to the Casino, does anyone know if they have Vegas style crap tables? He also heard something about a CHOCLATE buffet, is that a seafaring legend?? He will be inconsolable if it is, I may have to smuggle on Godiva!!

i think i am looking forward to time on ship more than ports. Meeting new people, good food, and just being on the sea sounds so healing and restful.

Hope to meet some of you on board!!

I was just on the Vision OTS 1 month ago and I can attest that the Vision OTS is not dirty or worn. She is an elegant ship with a very good crew and staff. The casino does have a Vegas craps table, along with roulette, blackjack (multiple and single deck), caribbean stud poker, 3-card poker and slots. The food is good, and I suggest eating in the dining room as often as possible as this was the best food onboard. The Windjammer buffet was ok food, but the dining room was better. The Vision OTS does have a state of the art gym with yoga for a $10 fee, a running track to walk on one deck above the pool deck (deck 10 I believe) and I highly suggest you visit the spa as soon as you get onboard to book your spa appointments as the good time slots go quickly on the Vision. I do not remember a chocolate buffet on either of my 2 sailings on the Vision, but there is a midnight buffet that is magnificent and does have some chocolate as part of the buffet.

I've sailed the Vision OTS twice and had a fantastic time both sailings. She is very well maintained by the crew and this ship has a lot to offer it's guests. You will have a great time onboard her!

Thank you so much Scott I really appreciate your reply. My husband will be really happy to hear about the casino and i will somehow console him about the chocholate buffet!
Thanks for your tip about the spa and the condition of the ship. I have seen your posts in this forum and it seems you have lots of experience.

regards susan

Susan,

I'm considering this trip in January or February. I hope you stop back to post a review.
