They do have a hair dryer in each cabin, but I still bring my own. I'm really particular about the kind of hair dryer I use...

Generally they are not very good. Some of them you have to hold the switch in the on position while you are trying to dry your hair. Bring you own, you will be happy that you did.

Unless you have long, thick hair, the ones on Explorer should work fine. They are located in the top desk drawer and yes, you do have to hold the button down to have it work. They work fine for me, saves having to bring my own.

I wonder how much the cruiselines save, by buying dryers you have to hold the button down..to me it's a pain in the pattoot. Once it was broken, and other times less then what I would want..I always bring my own...

Trip, I'd guess they are made this way so they won't be left turned on,,,especially while in the drawer. That would REALLY be a fire hazard. It is a pain in the @ss to hold in the button though, while trying to dry my long, wavy hair.

Maybe the ones in the drawers are different then the ones on the wall, for safety sake, as Ken mentioned.

Ken, you are always well coiffed:):)
