I was told the other day that members of the Crown and Anchor society get discounts on their cruise price. Is this true, and if so how much is the discount?
Hi!
The discount that C&A cruisers got,are the savings certificate they receive
by mail. Are applicable on certain dates and not on all ships you have to book in advance with a dead line date.Have a nice day, MTL
To be honest, I think I was able to use a coupon once...In most cases, I've either had one booked and they didn't have a coupon for, or wasn't interested in any that they had. They are only good on certain dates too.

As a platinum member, I just got $100 off my balcony cabin on the Adventure OTS. I believe the special prices for C&A start at the Platinum level and are for balcony and above.

Donna you should know. It makes the move from an oceanview to a balcony a no brainer. They offer no break on inside or outside but $200 on a balcony. The coupons are a separate issue and I have also used them. But the ones I get recently, don't coincide with my cruise times.

If you use a TA inform them of your C&A status, Gold, Platinum or Diamond. They will inturn contact RCI and have them apply your discount to your reservation. If you booked it yourself thru their website or by phone you can contact RCI yourself inform them of your status and they will apply your discount. Every cruise I've taken with RCI I have had my discounts applied. Sorry I don't remember what they are for gold and platinum but every penny helps.
Here's the deal I got. I used a C&A coupon for $125 off a balcony for the Adventure OTS, got the standard $100 off for Platinum C&A for a balcony, and after I booked the cruise using the "nextcruise" certificate I got while on the Vision OTS I got another $50 off coupon from the Vision OTS Loyalty Amb. for using the "nextcruise" certificate which I just applied, as well as the $100 OBC! If you can match the C&A coupons with a cruise, you can get some serious money off for climbing the C&A ladder!

And what about all the rest of us (not C&A members)
I believe if you have taken more than one cruise and have not joined the Q&A society you can join and all of your past cruises will be credited to you. You can join from the RCI website or call them.
In addition to getting discounts on balcony cabins for being Platinum or Diamond level C&A members, you can also get shipboard credits for being an RCI shareholder, and for booking onboard.
We're doing back-to-back cruises on Radiance in March, and we get $275 in shipboard credit on EACH CRUISE. It's $100 for being an RCI shareholder, $100 for booking while on a previous cruise, and $50 from our TA. The shareholder credit is as little as $50 per cabin, or as much as $250, depending on the length of the cruise.

Meaning your discount as a C&A member is USD 25.-
No, that's not what I mean at all. I start with the discount on a balcony cabin ($200). That reduces my cruise price to $XXX.
When I get onboard, and check my shipboard account via the TV, I will find that I am starting out with a CREDIT BALANCE of $275 on each of the two cruises mentioned. I'll use that to pay my gratuities, dine at Chops/Portofino, etc.

This is all very interseting, but it's starting to make my head spin!
It sure would be nice if RCL just posted these pricing policies on their website where they can easily be found. Of course, they really don't want you to claim these discounts in the first place so I can see why they make you "work" for them.
As far as the shareholder benefit goes, I believe that applies to all passengers, not just C&A members. You just need to show them proof that you own 100 shares of RCL.

That's true. I was just trying to make the point that if you can combine your C&A discount with a shareholder shipboard credit, or other shipboard credits, you're getting the best of both worlds.
I'm going to work the system to the best of my ability to get the maximum discount/credit/whatever.
