Default What time to arrive at terminal?

I will be leaving on the Majesty of the Seas out of miami in a little over two weeks. I was just wondering what time is good to get to the terminal if they start boarding at 2pm? I have never left out of miami before.

If you want to be in the early boarding crowds and lines, you can arrive at 11 AM or so. If you want to avoid some of the crowds, arrive at 2 PM.

If you should board earlier than around 1:00, most likely you cabin isnt ready yet, but you can still go up to the Windjammer and have a buffet lunch.

If you want to be first on the ship (like me ) arrive the night before and bring a sleeping bag.

Seriously, you can arrive anytime after around 10:30 or 11:00 and may not be allowed on the until 11:30 or 12:00.

I like to get to the ship as soon as possible so I can be first passenger on board and my cruise can start as soon as possible.

I tend to fly in the morning of the cruise and will always book the first flight of the day usually ending up at the port city's airport at around 9 or 10. Collecting checked luggage and arranging or finding transport to the ship's terminal will usually eat up another 1-2 hours. Hence I am generally at the port right around 11:30 - noon. Lines are usually starting to build but not nearly as long as they will be during the 12 - 2 hour when most passengers arrive.

However, just to be sure

Show up the night before and just camp out at the front of the line.

I would arrive around 11:00 and be one of the first group to check in and board. It's great to walk around an empty ship. Yes, you will have to keep your carry on bags with you until your room is ready (around 1:00). Board early, take a tour and have lunch!
