Default Canopy Tour

Has anyone done the canopy tour on the zip lines. My 25 year old son wants to do it and maybe my 18 year old daughter. Is is safe? There is one is San Juan and one in St. Martin. Any one better than the other? Thanks
Jeanne

Hi Silverwagon,
I've done the one in Jamaica, so I have nothing else to compare to, but another couple had done one before and said the one in Jamaica was excellent. Its also safe, you are ALWAYS clipped in. Its a lot of fun!

Just an FYI, there was a weight restriction of 250 pounds...Some of the runs were over water and high, but very exciting!

Default St Martin zip line excursion

I was on this a few years ago. Lot of fun! Part of the excursion involved various rope bridges from tree to tree. You're going to sweat a lot on this because of the humidity and slight exertion. One note of caution--you have to remember to always keep at least one safety line clipped to a cable when on a rope bridge and when climbing around the trees to get to the next zip line. They keep a pretty close eye on you and will remind you if you forget.

Thanks you for the information. The more we know before my son and daughter make the decision the better off we will be.

We did the canopy tour in Jamaica (my husband is 51, I'm 49, our daughter is 19 and our son 17) and it was our favorite part of the entire trip. Not for anyone with a bad fear of heights, but we found it exhilarating, especially the last zipline, 1000 feet long over a river. The guides were a lot of fun (No worries, mon!), but also very safety conscious, making sure we were always clipped on, and the equipment seemed to be new and well maintained. We'd do it again in a heartbeat. Have fun!

We are going to Jamaica in a couple of weeks and doing the canopy adventure. We are really excited but my husband has been excerising alot to loose weight and he's lost 18 pounds. He is still over the weight limit by 12 pounds. DO they weight you? He could probably still get down 2 more pounds but 12 more in two weeks is to much. Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks, Paula

I've seen the Jamaica Canopy Tour on the Travel Channel, looks great.
Anyone done one on either St Thomas or St Marteen? We'll be there in July & would like to try one of them.

Thanks,
Bob

FYI, I heard people on one of my excursions commenting that the Canopy Tour filled up fast, and they were unable to get it. I would recommend booking it early online.
