Default Ft. Lauderdale Flight Departure

Is a 10:00 AM flight out of Ft. Lauderdale realistic after disembarkation

It can be but I would work with the cruise line to make sure that you can be placed in one of the earlier groups to leave the ship based on your flight situation. I have made 11:00am flights in the past so you shouldn't have an issue if they get you off in the first or second group.

If your ship has custom issues, your departure from the ship could be delayed, quite a while. I was waiting to board ome crusie, and had a long wait, while they straightened things out onboard..

If you have a choice of a later flight, say 11-12, why not book that and not have to wory. The airport is so close to the pier, you will be there in no time. Tell the pursers desk of your early flight, and they will assist you.
Have a great cruise!

I agree... if you haven't booked your flight, then book one for after 12:00 to be safe. There could be delays in the ship docking in the morning, delay on ship clearance, you could get stuck in long group line leaving ship, finding all luggage after getting off ship sometimes is a challenge, then you have to wait in line to clear customs before ever leaving for the air port.

If you already booked, make sure you let pursers desk know you need to catch early flight and they will get you early debarkation time. You can keep all your luggage and take it off the ship on your own. If you choose to keep all luggage, no one will be able to help you. This will avoid searching through lots of luggage at pier. The good thing is FLL is close to the pier.

MUCH wiser to book a later flight, and if you happen to get off in time try and get moved to the 10 AM flight.

If you can make a 10:00 AM, including getting through check in and security, you should also buy a lottery ticket

Kuki,

I took your advice...bought the lottery ticket, saw the results and have moved my flight back.

We have played "early flight roulette" several times and won. BUT we are waiting for the hammer to fall. Is it possible to get out early...sure. Much calmer to book later flights tho ;>)
