Default 3 night / 4 night Monarch of the Sea's Question

I have heard that when the MOS is moved from its 3 night / 4 night operations out of Los Angeles that there will NOT be a replacement ship.
That only Carnival will sail a 3/4 night trip from Los Angeles. (Long Beach)
Is that true?? Any comments about this.. Maybe I've got the incorrect info.
Thanks, Old Man.

This is true, RCCL will not be replaceing the Monarch for the 3-4 day baja runs. At this time they have no plans to continue this particular cruise. Which is too bad since the Monarch seems to be mostly full for each trip from what I understand.

They don't have any plans to replace it NOW. But RCI is getting ready to do some shifting around of ships. I know the Mariner of the Seas and Sovereign of the Seas are BOTH leaving Port Canaveral in 2008-2009. The Sovereign will be transferred to Pulmantar and the Mariner moved to West coast. I wouldnt be surprised if they didnt uproot one of their vision or other medium sized class ships from a big port like Miami or somewhere and sent them back to LA.

Well, last night I was able to talk one on one with some one that works for RCCL. They said that RCCL was not making the yield that they wanted from the 3/4 day trips. (even if it was full). But, they also said that come May the company might re-think the situation. So we will see what comes about. OM.

Mariner is going to West Coast. I had heard that Monarch was replacing Sovereign in Port Canaveral. I have also heard that Grandeur was coming to Port Canaveral to replace Sovereign or perhaps Mariner. I would think though that they would replace Mariner with another Voyager ship though that is displaced from Miami by Freedom or Genesis class coming to Ft Lauderdale.
