I was reading that at time of reservations, one can request a table. So any suggestions for on the Jewel-- I'd assume portside, window table----think this ship has two floors for dining---which one is most desirable?
As Donna metioned there is no reserving of a table location. You can request a table size when you book your cruise (small table if you would rather sit with your party only or a larger table with other cruisers)but not location.
When you board the ship go right to the dining room and check out where your table is if you don't like the location then at that point you can try to change it. There will be someone in the dining room that handles this however sometimes there is alittle bit of a wait.
Enjoy your cruise!

When I read the post, I said to myslef, boy, requesting tables could get very tricky....I too, had never heard of this....But requesting a table close to the entrance does make sense for mobility issues. Glad they are willing to accomodate this.
The first night, as we all walk into the dining rooms, I bet we all hold our breath to sea if the table is in a good place:):) Remember Kuki's last cruise? He felt like he was in a closet, where they stuck him!
Best location we ever had, was an aft corner table on the Century. Fantastic!

I too have never heard of reserving a table,,,heck,,,it's sometimes difficult enough to get the seating you want!
Yep, the best table we ever had was one of the aft "window" tables on the Century. Right next to the Captains table,,,and service by the Captains water and bus boy. PERFECT, in every respect! (The lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) even fell in love with the waiter)
