Haven't been able to stay in 1600 but have been inside two of them on Radiance class ships. Definitely has a DVD set-up. If you have seen us discuss aft (or stern) balconies, this one is very desirable. Having said that, I have seen a complaint about it because it is not the same configuration as the other "GS" staterooms. The interior layout is unique since it is fit into the rounded corner of the ship.
During warm weather trips the aft balconies on deck ten do get some noise from the outside dining area jusy above them (chairs scraping on the wooden deck etc). Not a dealbreaker for us but it's nice to be prepared for it. If you are in the majority, you'll love the ship and your suite.
Lindalou - have you completed your cruise in Grand Suite 1600? I have that booked in November and was wondering how you liked it, they layout, too small compared to the other suites, but mostly I'd like to know about the balcony. Hard to tell from the picture of the deck, does it wrap around or just the very aft of the ship. Windows looking out the side. Thanks for any info, just want to make sure I don't need to change rooms. Hope you enjoyed your cruise.
