Default Questions about Cape Liberty embark/debark Check-In

If you have sailed from Cape Liberty NJ, we would appreciate your help.
We have always sailed out of Ft Lauderdale or Miami. We are thinking about booking a ship out of Cape Liberty....RCI Explorer of the Seas. We would drive to Cape Liberty which leads into my question. Is parking available near where we will board the ship or would we need a shuttle from the parking area to the ship? Outside or garage parking?

Embark/Debark in Florida has normally been a very smooth operation. How is it at Cape Liberty....Orderly or confused? Since we would like to book the cruise asap, any info that you can provide about the embark/debark, baggage handling and check-in evolution at Cape Liberty would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Semper Fi !!!!

Hi Rick,
We have sailed out of Cape Liberty four times being as we live a half hour from the port.
First as far as parking, there is parking right at the pier[outside]and depends on where you park, you may be able to walk into the terminal but drop your bags off first.
Second, embarking after you check in you will be giving a number, this is for the shuttle which a bus that takes you out to the ship which is about a half mile down the pier[they wont let you walk out there].
When disembarking, when you get off of the ship you also board the shuttle back to the terminal, after your color is called. And when you get to the terminal is it very easy because you dont have the whole ship there looking for their bags.
We have docked there at about seven am and were on our way home by 915.But we are diamond members and the first off the ship.

What color were your luggage tags for disembarkation?
