Default Sailing from New Jersey

We are sailing the first week of February on the Explorer out of New Jersey. What recommendations are there for how to get from the Newark Airport to the Liberty Cruise Port? The only way I have been able to come up with is taxi. Are there no shuttles?

I believe you could purchase a transfer directly from the cruiseline.

Default Thanks

MaryLou, thanks for such a simple suggestion. Stupid me never thought to check with the cruise line.

It is $24 + tip for a cab. I'll bet RCI transfers are a lot more than that. They wanted $50 for two to go from the ship to the airport.

Thank you for the info... $24 for a cab is cheap these days. That is what you pay in Miami to get to the ship.

Default Cape Liberty to Newark Airport

I agree that the $24 is very good. I spoke with RCI today and they want $25 per person one-way for the shuttle. The taxi is a better deal!

In my new web site, www.cruisingfromnewyork.com I have information on getting to all the ports. Bayonne isn't very far and the taxi ride shouldn't be very expensive.
