Default Spring Break 2008

Hi everybody.
My wife, my 2 kids (6 & 7) and I are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary next March so we are going on the Liberty OTS March 22nd leaving from Miami. Many colleges will have their spring break 2008 during that time.
Has anyone cruised Royal Caribbean during spring break?
Can you please share your experiences?
Thank you very much for your time.

I am cruising Spring Break this year too. Don't know about the colleges but our local schools are out the week AFTER Easter, March 30-April 6th. We have cruised the last week of May the last several years but this year school is out late on June 3rd. So I decided to go Spring Break week instead. I would imagine alot of familes and not so much young kids traveling alone. Colleges and schools spread the Spring Break over several weeks. I don't think there is one week that would be busiest but traditionally it is the week before and after Easter.

Hi Dave. Thanks for your answer.
Since we are traveling as a family with our young kids, we don't really feel like prtying that much.
Best Regards.

I understand and will be doing the same but Adventure Ocean will take good care of your kids and allow some partying. What I meant is there won't be groups of high school age kids without parents jumping off the railings. The college kids may travel with parents or in some groups but my expereince last year in May ( alot of recent High School and College Grads was they were well behave and mostly good kids with parents. The rowdy and troublesome ones will be on Carnival. If they can afford a week on The Liberty, they usually have a little more class than the 4 nighters on Carnival Sensation for example. Just my opinion.

ALso keep in mind Liberty of the seas is more expensive then other ships. Alot of the college kids are also looking for the best rate they can get and that will not be on the Liberty.

There will be many families onboard during that week.

Enjoy your cruise!

Like she said! and THE Cruise Queen knows! Also you have to be of a certain age or married to book a cabin.

They actually were. It was a treat to see them - especially the girls - all dressed up for dinner.

I can also tell you that we have a group of 11 on the same cruise...March 22nd on the Liberty. My wife and I and our three teenage girls, wife's bro and his wife and their two rug rats, and then the "Nana and Papa" (who are graciously paying for the cruise!)

We too hope that the "spring break" crowd isn't too heavy on this trip. The boat is big enough that we are confident that we should be OK.

See you on board! (Are you from Green bay?)

Default spring break!

We took 3 kids on the enchantment of the seas last year for spring break in april. They are 11, 13, and 15. Another family went with us who had 3 teenagers. There were quite a few kids but most were with their parents which was great for the kids! Did't see too many college aged kids on board which kind of surprised me...thought there would probably be more. Had sooo much fun...Going on another cruise this spring break on the Navigator of the seas! Anyone going...April 3rd?? Can't wait!!

Was on Mariner during spring break... while there were lots of college kids on board... there were even more children on board. College kids were alot of fun to watch and hang out with in the evenings. They were all very well behaved considering it was spring break. Regardless... you will have a good time... and your kids will enjoy as well.
