Thats great news. There are so many times, when this stop is missed due to bad weather and they can't tender. Its a great beach day and IMO, worth the money to build a pier.

This is good news for this pretty port. It seems, as the article states, that they are hoping for the rest of the country to become a tourist destination.
Hopefully it will help the poorest country in the western hemisphere:(

Other than the Labaddee stop, this is an island, where I know, for years to come I would stay on the ship:(

THIS IS GOOD NEWS , THEY WILL BE SECOND CRUISE LINES TO DO IT . PRESENTLY DISNEY IS THE ONLY ONE WITHOUT HAVING TO TENDER ASHORE. ITS NO FUN WHEN YOU FIND OUT THAT THEY HAVE TO SKIP
LANDING BECAUSE OF BAD WEATHER.

That's GREAT! Those who have trouble getting into the tender boats (those with mobility problems) will have a much easier time! COOL!

hope they do the same thing in Coco Cay... i have missed it 4 times because of bad weather and not tendering.

I just hope the beautiful anchorage shown in the picture with the article is not destroyed by a big concrete dock.

I will greatly miss anchoring offshore, that view is just beautiful, I guess the pluses outweigh the negatives, but I hope they can preserve that view somehow, someway. I just love that view.........
