Default DUTY FREE SHOPPING ON SHIP

WILL BE IN U.S. WATERS WHEN ON HAWAIIAN CRUISE - BUT IS THERE DUTY FREE SHOPPING ON BOARD THE SHIP (ROYAL CARIBBEAN) LIKE THERE IS WHEN CRUISING THE CARIBBEAN? THANKS

I would imagine that the duty free shopping is available - just like gambling is available... as when you are so many miles at sea your are actually in international waters

sorry would like to know actually yes or no if there is duty free shopping on an Hawaiian cruise

Yes, you will have shopping open at night while sailing through the island chain. Per US regulation, please keep in mind that ALL purchases made onboard (liquor, watches, jewlery, etc.) are provided to US Customs at the end of the cruise from the ship to ensure that any onboard purchases are appropriately claimed on your duty form. I know folks who have been detained by US Customs for not appropriately recording all their purchases onboard that exceeded thresholds for free duty (e.g. watches, etc.)

Thank you for that last tip. Didn't know about them keeping track of all your purchases on the ship.
